Alongside two new running shoes – the Nike Free Flyknit and Nike Free Hyperfeel – Nike introduced today two new apparel technologies, Aeroloft and Dri-FIT Knit. Guided by Nike’s data-driven, body-led “Nature Amplified” design ethos, the products are designed to assist the body’s natural ability to regulate temperature. First up is Aeroloft, which was showcased via the ultra-light, ripstop nylon Nike Aeroloft 800 Vest. Designed to keep runners warm and comfortable in cooler conditions, Aeroloft combines perforated down insulation with precision ventilation, allowing heat to escape the body so athletes stay warm and dry. The Aeroloft 800 Vest features Dri-FIT panels to further boost breathability and easily folds up and fits in the pocket for easy carrying. The new technology will roll out in future Nike products across different sports.Second is Dri-FIT Knit, an evolution of Nike’s popular Dri-FIT technology. Known for keeping athletes dry and comfortable by moving sweat away from the skin, Dri-FIT Knit expands this concept into an ultra-soft, lightweight fabric that employs visibly different knit patterns to provide stretch and aid in breathability. Seamless construction creates a smooth fit. Retail availability is to be announced. |
