WANT Les Essentiels de la Vie invites you to experience the tropics with its latest collection inspired by Jamaica. The brand’s designers Dexter and Bryan are of Jamaican heritage, and this season proves to be quite the nostalgic experience. They’ve decided to borrow colors including sea hues, lush green palm and hibiscus from Jamaica’s natural environment, to be juxtaposed against vibrant prints and textures such as a Tropical Garden print from Limonta and thatched raffia weaving. Additionally, the collection pulls cues from the Jamaican jockey, evident in the traces of yellow, blue and red which add on to an elevated, athletic take on Jamaica’s national style.
